Terri holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution from Salisbury University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University. She attributes much of her success and personal development to the support of her family, mentors, dynamic pastors and teachers. “Every loss can potentially teach you a lesson but it’s much more rewarding when your lesson can inspire another person to persevere,” says Terri. Her personal story of triumph over tragedy inspires youth to overcome life’s obstacles and turn their pain into purpose. When Terri was 17 years old, her father died suddenly in the hotel room on their family vacation, Terri found herself depressed, hopeless and suicidal. Terri knows what it means to be a teen, facing overwhelming odds.

Terri developed a deep seated self-hatred that affected every area of her life. Terri’s mom was verbally and physically abusive throughout Terri’s childhood and the abuse took a negative toll on Terri’s self-esteem and self-image. Over the past 7 years Terri’s speeches and workshops have inspired students to: Terri is a nationally recognized blogger, speaker and author dedicated to empowering youth to overcome adversity. Her interactive approach is not only motivational, but transformational. Terri’s ability to maintain professionalism and still meet the youth where they are, gives her an edge that allows students to respect her and confide in her. Her transparency and approachability are evident in her approach whether she is speaking to an auditorium of high school students, blogging about her journey to a healthy self-image or sharing her story of triumph in her book.
